1. Men taking much bigger risks/dangerous task

Biological design of men - the frontal lobe of the brain which is the area controlling judgment and consideration of an action’s consequences, develops more slowly in young men/boys than in their female counterparts. This might lead to the situation that much more boys and men die in accidents/violence than girls and women. The video serves as the proof.

2. Men having risky jobs

Army/construction workers/firefighters are usually taken by men. Indeed men outnumber women by a huge number for risky jobs. 

3. Men die 6 years earlier than women in Hong Kong.

The life expectancy at birth for women is 5-6 years higher than that of men. The life expectancy at birth of men in HK has increased steadily from 72.3 in 1981 to 82.2 in 2019. The corresponding figures for women were 78.5 and 88.1 years respectively.
